Jay Harrington • Math Lead Teacher • Harrison Middle School
2022-23 marks my eleventh year at HMS and my sixth year in the Math Lead Teacher position.
I am an active member of ATOMIM - The Association of Teachers of Mathematics in Maine, NCTM - The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and NCSM - The National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics
I serve as coach for the HMS Robotics Club (10th year) and Math Team (11th Year).
I live in Portland with my wife (Ms. Harrington at YHS) and two daughters, Barbara and Eloise.
In my spare time, I love reading, hiking/travel, drawing, remodeling my house, and doing puzzles of all kinds.
While I consider myself more of a dog person, we currently have a cat: Seaduma. He came home with us after a teaching adventure in Lesotho, Africa.
